FY 2022: OTC enrollment tops 26,000

OTC Report for March 2023
Official OTC Enrollment Data from FY22:
Technical programs enrollment is 11,637.
General Enrollment is 2,126.
CTX enrollment is 12,408.
Total enrollment for FY22 is 26,171.
The webinars with “At The Core” were very successful. The target audience was parents with high school seniors who are undecided about what to do after graduation and have not taken a CTE program. Directors Carrie Fife and Laura Dowdell participated as did Polaris Career Center Transitions Coordinator Theresa Liska.
Directors are very pleased with the Governor’s proposed state budget.
Increase in the subsidy line items in the budget of 3% per year.
SUPER RAPIDS /RAPIDS (Regionally Aligned Priorities in Delivering Skills) will be enhanced to provide $200,000,000. Additionally, and separately, a new $300,000,000 investment in expansion of K-12 career-technical education through the Ohio Department of Education and Ohio Facilities Construction Commission will provide much-needed resources to expand facilities and purchase equipment.
Short term certificate funding is proposed to be doubled (total funding of $14,000,000 over the biennium) and continuation of the Commercial Driver’s License program established two years ago.
