Career-technical education serves all students and recognizes that there are multiple intelligences and nurtures and inspires students to find their career calling and use their individual gifts and attributes. From students recognized for their scholarship to students who may have dropped out and adults impacted by industry exiting their community – career tech ed serves them all.

For decades, students all over Ohio have been enrolling in career technology programs as a way to learn hands-on training and jump-start their careers.
Whether high schoolers or adult ed students, career technology centers inspire all learners to nurture their individual gifts, as they explore their true career calling.

2024 CTE Presidential Scholars Ohio Nominees

The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program was established in 1964, by executive order of the President, to recognize and honor some of our nation's most distinguished graduating high school seniors. In 1979, the program was extended to recognize students who demonstrate exceptional talent in the visual, creative and performing arts. In 2015, the program was again extended to recognize students who demonstrate ability and accomplishment in career and technical education fields. Each year, up to 161 students are named as Presidential Scholars, one of the nation's highest honors for high school students.
