OACTS communicates and works with legislators throughout Ohio to foster an understanding of how career-technical and adult education impacts the lives of students and contributes to the workforce of Ohio by supplying skilled workers to help grow Ohio’s economy.

Legislative Advocacy “Tool-Kit” The following publications are available for you to use in your legislative advocacy efforts with your local legislators, policy makers and others. Please download, print and distribute these publications. Click on the title to download the publication.

What is Career-Technical and Adult Education? This paper provides basic information on career-technical and adult education in Ohio, including the different delivery methods and types of programs available.

CTE Policy Paper. This paper provides information on the economic impact CTAE has on Ohio’s economy and jobs. This paper also has specific recommendations and talking points to help keep CTE a vital part of Ohio’s public education system.

Impact Flyer – CUSTOMIZE for your school. This document is provided in Word format so you can replace the student success stories and information to reflect your local experience before distributing. Be sure to include your school contact information at the bottom of the flyer in place of Ohio ACTE.

Adult Workforce Education 2010…Economy Driven…Life Changing. This 26-page booklet provides information on Ohio’s Adult Career Centers, including examples of business partnerships, student success stories and statistics.
